DESCRIPTION
The check valve opens when the pressure from below the valve disc exceeds the combined value of the pressure above the disc and the force exerted by the spring.
The valve remains in the closed position when the pressure above and below the disc is equal.
Any pressure acting above the disc forces it against the seat, thereby preventing reverse flow.
